Top 6 resources for iPad first reviews

Apple iPad
Okay, so the mysterious iPad has finally arrived and people are already having fun with it. The amount of material on the internet already after just some hours is overwhelming and it might be hard to find what you’re looking for. On the other hand, I just talked yesterday with not one but two people who didn’t have any clue about this ipad-thing.
To help your search and to get to know with the phenomenom I give you the Top 5 resources for iPad first reviews and resources.
First a short introduction. iPad is Apples newest innovation. It’s basically an oversized iPhone which you can’t use for phone calls but, it seems, you can do a lot more. Something fun and hippy. Keep reading.
1. Mashable – How to get started with iPad
Mashable is a site worth becoming a fan on the Facebook if you want to get your news feed flooded with link to articles which make you wonder their tagline – Social Media Guide. As I previously said, I don’t know what that social media actually is but I think that iPad getting advertised on Family Guy is not a part of it. But the article is good.
These guys can break any device Steve Jobs can create. I’d use that line in my business card if I was them. Or maybe not, it’s not that good. Here they show you how to get your warranty voided in mere minutes. They also tell us that Apple has chosen A1337 as a production number for iPad. 1337 stands for leet in nerd language (read numbers as letters, which in turn is like elite, which is like super-duper cool among nerds.
3. Techcrunch – The Unauthorized iPad Review
Arrington is clearly loving the device. But actually I’m thinking a bit like him:
In fact it will make my phone far less important for non-calling uses.
I might go and buy the iPad as soon as it comes to Germany. The reason is that I’d use mobile web a lot more if it’d be more convenient, but with a phone it can never be. I am more than ready to read my blogs and twitters outside but with a mobile phone the user experience is just too crappy. With an iPad it should be just fine.
4. YouTube – Stephen Fry iPad unboxing
I don’t know why this guy is famous (I don’t even know if he is, actually) as I only know him as this Twitter guy. Everybody follows him here and every list of people you should follow contain him, as he is a celebrity. I of course follow him, just because everyone thinks he’s so cool. I think there’s nothing special about his tweets and I’m not that convinced about he’s competence in reviewing an iPad, but check the video yourself and tell if you’ve seen him somewhere sometime. I’ve only seen him on Twitter, thats for sure.
You only get the full use of an iPad with some apps. Actually the best part in iPhone (iPad is basically an iPhone, remember) and iPad is the huge amount of apps but it can also be overwhelming. Gizmodo is reviewing as many apps as possible, starting from the most important and updating in real time.
They’ve already proved themselves as a good and fast source for all news related to iPad. If you are extra-interested about the device (read: a fanboy), make sure to bookmark that one.
There you go. If you already got the device, please feel free to tell us how it’s like.
